Help Us Cross the Finish Line and Expand Our Impact for Tribal Youth!

We're Almost There:  Just $66,228 Left to Eliminate the TYC Debt!

The construction of the Tokata Youth Center (TYC) was completed in September 2022.  The youth within the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation now have the safe, stable, nurturing TYC facility to call their own! More than 420 Native American youth are enrolled in programming grounded in Biblical principles and Dakota Oyate values. They are growing stronger mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually!

Throughout 2024, we are blessed to have a generous foundation matching every $1 given for debt-elimination, with an additional $.50. This makes paying the construction loan off in 2024 so critical!

At the beginning of this year, we had $1.8 million remaining on the TYC construction loan. Our goal was to raise $1.2 million, with the foundation matching an additional $600,000, allowing us to fully pay off the debt.  On September 1st, our lender generously agreed to extend the loan terms, helping us avoid converting it into a permanent mortgage. However, there is a slight interest rate increase for the remaining period of the loan.

We thank God for friends and supporters of these youth who have already contributed $1,133,772 this year. This means the youth are just $66,228 away from having their $3.8M Tokata Youth Center completely paid off and debt-free!

Please consider giving towards the remaining debt of $66,228.  Achieving debt freedom will allow more funds to be allocated to even better serving tribal youth, families, and the community through:

·        Expanding programs: Offering more mentoring, tutoring, life coaching, and spiritual guidance for hundreds of tribal youth.

·        Supporting the team: Retaining, and possibly even increasing, the number of quality staff and Teen Mentors at the Tokata Youth Center (TYC).

·        Feeding the TYC youth: Continuing to provide an average of one thousand nutritious meals each month.

·        Innovating and growing: Bringing even more innovative services and opportunities for personal growth to the greater Fort Thompson community through TYC outreach.

·        Experiencing abundant life: Providing a space where youth can learn about and experience the abundant life that Jesus Christ promises in John 10:10.
