Even as fundraising toward the construction loan costs of the Tokata Youth Center is ongoing, other improvements are being made through generous donations of time and money. Today community members volunteered to lay the sod for the youth's new kick ball field!

The youth are very excited to have a Gaga Ball Pit added to the Tokata Youth Center's Outdoor Physical Fitness Area. It will provide the youth with LOTS of exercise, laughs and smiles. Thanks to all who came out to help install it.

The Kunsi Pejuta Garden (Grandmother Medicine Garden) is really growing since the youth planted it last month at the Tokata Youth Center. Grandmothers from the community helped provide guidance during the planning process. What a valuable resource for the youths!

An amazing ONE THOUSAND MEALS a month are being served to the K - 12th grade youth from the TYC kitchen! Donations of a processed pig from Missouri and a buffalo from the Tribe's own herd have put meat on the youth's plates and smiles on everyone's faces!

Lacrosse camp is just one of the many activities the youth are enjoying this summer. It is also a busy time outdoors with the construction of the Physical Activity & Nutrition Space on the south side of the Tokata Youth Center. A new space for outdoor activities, gardening, learning and play!
